Music In Our Schools Month

 What a wonderful world
WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD MURAL

The Francis X. Hegarty Elementary School is proud to celebrate "Music in Our Schools Month" with a musical and artistic interpretation of the famous song "What a Wonderful World."

Students from kindergarten to fourth grade perform "What a Wonderful World." Each class was recorded singing during music and then a final mix was made of all the voices. The children also learned choreography to go with the words and this is seen in the slide show.

In art, all of the students created amazing artwork that illustrate the words of the song. The children's artwork was combined to create a fantastic mural that will bring the song to life.

This is a product of an interdisciplinary collaboration between Miss Marie Bluebello-Sambolin and Mrs. Naomi Seifert.

The children loved working together as a Hegarty community.

A special thank you goes out to Michael Sambolin for his great guitar solo.

We truly hope you will love it too!
